I’m Kareem; a Virgo, a mother, born and bred Londoner, and lover of books.

A little bit about my journey to YAA - I began working in social media 3 years ago, after which my new venture quickly transformed into a passionate obsession. When I founded YAA in 2023, I envisioned it as a space to create, design and build community. I come from a lineage of storytellers and creators, who use their gifts to express themselves and engage innovatively and creatively with people. This coupled with my professional background in food, fashion and writing has helped me in ways I couldn’t have imagined when I first entered this line of work. I have always loved creating and making things look visually appealing; understanding the art of presenting a plate of food, styling a mannequin or mixing textiles comes naturally to me, and my eye for detail and aesthetics in the digital marketing space is only enhanced by this experience.

YAA’s work is bold. My artistic influences shape my work, movement, photography and performance art have always been a common thread in my creative practice. YAA is precise and we know how to bring out the best in individuals and brands. For us, the beauty is always in the details. Capturing emotions in people and places through our work is vital in everything we do. YAA understands how important it is to grow together.
